如果孩子小学的英语没有学好，那相对来说，现在学得会比较累;同样地，如果现在不学好英语，那将来的英语学习也是不难想象的。如果有心的家长仔细观察的话，会发现小学英语的词汇量与语法是和初中所学有着一定联系的，起着一个推进的作用。所以我们只有现在打下良好的基础，才不会导致英语越学越难、越学越差初一，是一个崭新的起点、是一个完全可以打牢和巩固基础的时候，也是培养学习习惯和学习方法的最佳时机，我认为各位家长一定要高度重视这个关键时期。千万不能纵容自己的孩子第一次说：英语好难，我默不出来;就任由他去。你让你的孩子知道：今天，你花大时间去养成好习惯，明天，你就可以更好。今天，你偷懒了一会，你明天的作业就会更多。累积下来，你就是欠债最多的人。孩子是每个家庭的重心和希望，有一位家长说过：”要把培养孩子当作自己的事业来做。”是啊，只要你多投入一点，相信你的孩子会给予你更多的回报!
二、抓住课堂，向四十五分钟要效率
现在通过一段时间的学习，学生与学生之间已经拉开了差距。”向四十五分钟要效率”，是我读书时的一句流行语，到今天我认为还是很实用。课堂的重要性绝对是”重中之重”，一些好的’学生学习兴趣浓，学习劲头足，课堂上积极思维，踊跃发言，课后及时巩固，形成了良性循环的好势头。他们的学习习惯好，在听、说、读、写方面都能齐头并进，我为他们感到欣慰。可也有一些学生，平时学习马虎，基础不扎实，功亏一篑，导致他们现在课上听讲出现困难，用他们自己的话说：”我听不懂。”听不懂，还不努力，书面作业拖拉不交，口头作业根本不完成，如此一来，学习自然成了件头痛事，麻烦事。其实，大部分的学生还是处于中间层次，老师所教的，所布置的作业能够基本完成，但学习的效率又因人而异，存在着个体差别。尽管他们平时不需要老师操太多的心，费太大的力，但是说起各方面的表现，又总有一丝遗憾，我们总希望他们能够再上一个台阶。
三、抓住方法，向好学习习惯要效果
教师是最直接的知识传授者，有着”教书育人”的责任。当然，只有通过和家长共同的努立来帮助孩子学好英语，才能让孩子更好的发挥出他们的智慧，我们要和孩子共同成长。
(1)多听录音。加强听力训练和说话训练，然后才是读写能力的培养。听说能力差，用英语进行交际的能力差，为此，家长一定要配合来要求孩子，要创造条件让孩子多听，多听纯正的录音，听几遍、听清楚了以后，跟着说。就考试而言也一年比一年注重听力、阅读等需要综合能力的部分。
(2)多说英语。要每天抽出至少15分钟左右时间让孩子读读英语，不管当天有无英语课。我们要鼓励孩子大声地朗读、对话、问答，大声说，不害羞，这样有利于清楚地表达自己的口语，也有利于加深印象、巩固记忆。

对于绝大多数同学来说，英语始终是心头大患。我与大家经历相同，从4年级便被扣上了这顶帽子，每一次考试，英语总是给我拖后腿，但在一次次摸索中，我也在不断进步，总结了一些经验。正所谓”方向不对，努力白费”，正确的学习方法会使我们的学习效率大大提高，从而达到事半功倍的目的。下面是我总结的一些学习英语的经验，希望可以供同学们参考。
第一，做好课堂笔记，顾名思义，课堂笔记便是利用课堂时间将老师所讲的重点、难点、疑点记下，千万不可以”手懒”，对于知识零碎的英语来说更是如此，好记性不如烂笔头。然后是回顾笔记，回顾笔记才是做笔记的重点，建议大家，周末时专门抽出时间回顾一下当周所做的笔记，这样能有效地缓解紧张的心理，可以让你在下一周的学习中得心应手。举个我自己的例子吧，记得有一次英语抽测，我抱着侥幸的.心理，没有做好复习工作，所以考试前就开始临时抱佛脚，结果到了最后，根本没有时间复习完，考试时慌慌张张，考得一塌糊涂。所以说，做好笔记对于学生来说十分重要。
第二，整理回顾错题，对于很多同学来说，都能做到整理错题，但重点是我们不仅仅要整理，更要回顾与反思。所谓”好马不吃回头草”对我们学生万万不可适用，要想成功挤过中考这座独木桥，就必须回顾自己的错题，也防止再出现类似的失误。再举个例子吧，我开始和很多同学一样只是纠一下错，之后就不管了，但是有一次考试，我真记得做过某一题，就是忘了怎么做，结果不仅没做出题，心情也糟糕透顶，考试结果可想而知惨不忍睹，后来我学着经常回顾错题本，慢慢地积累，厚积薄发，考试也不再出现类似的失误。
第三，要利用零碎的时间。英语是一门需要长期积累的科目，知识点很多，一定要好好利用互联网、学习机和其他移动方便的设备，更不用说书籍和杂志这样的传统学习资源!你完全可以在课间、排队、午休等时间记几个单词，要养成”天天英语”的习惯，每天按老师的要求作一篇完形阅读，坚持天天听英语。其实学英语的过程更像是一朵云的形成，是水汽的一点点积累;而不像砌一面墙那样，把砖堆上去就好。
